Hello and welcome to the Self-Aware Leadership Compass Quiz!

This Quiz will help you capture your own reflections and the reflections of others on whether you are caring, humble, authentic, reflective, trustworthy, adaptable, model behaviour, listen and learn from your experiences. It will also help you decide what changes you want to make to develop your self-aware leadership practice.

Why Are You Here Traveller?

The Self-Aware Leadership Compass Quiz has 2 parts.

PART 1: The first part is your self-assessment. You will be asked to assess yourself against each of the 9 CHARTABLE compass points.

Here are the 9 CHARTABLE compass points:

  • Care Care: a journey of empathy and respect, appreciating the human aspects of the lives of your colleagues whilst not shying away from having difficult conversations.
  • Humility Humility: letting others’ light shine, supporting them to step forward and being open when you don’t know the answers.
  • Authenticity Authenticity: living your values, beliefs and priorities with integrity and making conscious decisions about who the professional ‘you’ really is.
  • Reflection Reflection: being reflective in the moment and giving yourself the opportunity to respond rather than react so you can grow and become the best version of yourself.
  • Trust Trust: a place of kindness and consistency where you will instil trust in your colleagues so that they choose to follow you.
  • Adaptability Adaptability: responding with openness, flexibility and a growth mindset to the changing demands of your role and the changing needs of your people.
  • Behaviour Behaviour: modelling the behaviour you expect to see in your organisation and rewarding the behaviour of those that live the values you espouse.
  • Listening Listening: a voyage of giving voice to the quieter and marginalised people in your organisations to ensure everyone is heard.
  • Experience Experience: learning from your experiences and sharing what you know with others to nurture their growth and development.

Rate yourself against each of the statements e.g. I am caring, I am humble, I am authentic etc, on a scale of 1-9, where 1 is ‘strongly disagree’ and 9 is ‘strongly’. 5 is the neutral point.

PART 2: The second part is your ‘others’ assessment. The Quiz gives you an opportunity to get some feedback from other people. You can share the Quiz with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 3 people for free. You can increase the number of people you rate you by choosing paid options. Your raters will receive an email asking them to rate you against the same 9 compass points, on the same nine-point Likert scale. Your other-raters will have 7-days to complete the Quiz.

At the end of the 7-days, the Quiz will close and you will be able to access your Chart to get your scores. Your scores will be made up of your self-ratings and the average of the scores given by your raters.
