My book feels like it’s really taking shape, developing a firm foundation and a clear identity. I had a few days’ leave in July, so I had 4 days in which to write. Writing on consecutive days makes a real difference and you have less catching up to do following the gaps. Just writing on weekends always means the first hour or two on Saturday is about reminding myself where I left off.
I’m starting to plan for the ‘what next’, which feels very presumptuous but very necessary! I’ve booked in a manuscript review for the end of September, am meeting with an editorial/publishing team in August and I’m going to be popping in to London to check out a potential launch venue. LAUNCH VENUE!! I mean, how crazy is that!? I’m thinking about a launch day in early Spring.
I hope you’ll join me!
