This week I was introduced to a website called Future Me. It allows you to email yourself (or anyone else, I guess) in the future. This tool could be incredibly useful to you in tracking your self awareness.
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to send yourself an email to be received once a month for 12 months. As part of my thesis, I developed a self awareness questionnaire. It was a set of 24 statements against which you had to identify your agreement level along a 5 point Likert scale (1 being most negative and 5 being most positive). In your email you ask yourself to identify your agreement level to the following statements (feel free to copy these or develop ones of your own)
- My behaviour changes
- I reflect on my behaviour
- Stress impacts my behaviour
- My behaviour impacts on my colleagues
- I am able to regulate my behaviour
Track your answers over 12 months. Do they change? What do you notice about yourself? What have you learnt about yourself?
